Abilities Dance Boston engages with the community to further promote our mission. We teach Intersectional DIsability rights lectures / movement workshops to all ages. we always facilitate conversations with our community partner with the overall goal of furthering our mission through teaching inclusive practices in their spaces to bring back to their communities.

Central boston elder services

We teach free weekly adaptive dance classes at ten Central Boston Elder Service locations including Roxbury, Dorchester, Brighton, and other Boston neighborhoods. The classes are adapted not just for disabilities, but for the diverse cultural identities students are entering to make the classes a great experience for all.

In addition to weekly classes taught by our staff of accomplished teachers, Executive Director, Ellice Patterson, gives lectures on how to integrate various intersectional disability justice elements in your spaces and communities, tailored to each audience. We will work with your organization / community to offer these on an equitable sliding scale.
