Tarsha Ward, Ph.D., is a biomedical scientist with a B.S. from Spelman College and a Ph.D. from Morehouse School of Medicine. As a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, she studied the genetic origins of congenital heart disease. She has received multiple awards, including fellowships from Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard’s Dean Postdoctoral Diversity and Inclusion Program, and the NIH Pediatric Genomic Consortium in Cardiovascular Diseases. An MIT Rising Star (2018) and MIT Catalyst fellow, she led a team in biomedical innovation to develop a medical device prototype for obstructive sleep apnea patients. She is passionate about advancing patient care and dedicated to impactful solutions that help those in need.
